Dofos Company History
Dofos has been a well known name in Edinburgh since 1953 when the first shop was opened by Mr and Mrs Mauritzen. There were four shops in town; Stockbridge, Morningside, Corstorphine and the most famous one in Blenheim Place at the end of London Road, where we are still located.

We pride ourselves in providing our customers with
comprehensive advice on pet care and products.
The instore staff will help to find the right pet to suit you
and your family. And they will suggest suitable housing
and feeding accessories for your new pet.
If we do not stock a product that you are looking for
we will do our best to obtain it for you.
Our pet centre is friendly to families and
we are happy to welcome children to our store.
Children in Store
The staff always welcome families who come to purchase
a pet and will offer advice on the suitability of pets
with regard to the children in the family.
Our staff today
Irene Thomson has been responsible for the day to day
running of the store for 28 years and now owns Dofos Pet Centre.
Her husband Jimmy Thomson is responsible for the
stock deliveries and outgoing deliveries to our customers
.
Denise Davidson has worked in Dofos Pet Centres
since she was a teenager and has come back to the store
since leaving a major Pet Superstore and now works
with her parents Irene and Jimmy.
We have a great selection of tartan pet accessories which include dog leads, collars, toys, coats, beds and blankets.

We aim to provide comprehensive pet care advice to anyone who either visits or phones our store.
Our staff are only too pleased to advise customers on feeding, housing and most pet requirements.
If a customer requires any specific item and we do not hold it in stock we will do our utmost to obtain it for them and/or offer a range of alternatives.
The staff in the store will always offer a choice to the customer and will offer the best advice even if it means not making a sale.
